Best Playmats began as a small team of anime enthusiasts from the U.S., brought together by a shared passion for anime and design.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Like many people in 2020, we found ourselves obsessing over anime mats — mousepads, playmats, desk mats, you name it. Before long, we started creating our own designs with the help of local manufacturers and shared them within our friend group.

What stood out to us was the genuine surprise and happiness that our anime mats brought to people, even those who never expected it. Something that began as simple curiosity quickly grew into something much bigger.

OUR MISSION

Over time, we realized this was more than a hobby — it became our mission to help people discover the perfect piece of art that feels like it was made just for them.

Today, we’re focused on connecting anime fans everywhere with the perfect art and perfect mats that feel personal, meaningful, and inspiring every day. We do this by working with freelance artists and raw material suppliers, who are mostly based in the U.S, Europe, and Asia. We take full-responsibility for all quality control aspects, and for ensuring we only offer high-quality artwork and prints. Our in-house team is also responsible for making sure all our products arrive on time, and in the best condition.

Best Playmats operates from 46 Hobart Street, Braintree, MA 02184, United States. This is our home office, where we manage our business operations, customer service, and design direction for all of our mats.
